In the movies, when the building's power fails there seems to be an elongated time period where the cast seemingly fights for survival. In reality, you can avoid this antagonistic element by purchasing our Bodine brand emergency ballast.

The GEN1 model works with your building's generator (or other power source) to provide emergency power for up to five (5) minutes. If the generator fails, the ballast will provide additional electricity to avoid lighting shutdown.

Application:
This emergency ballast works to provide emergency power to generators for up to five (5) minutes. It's ideal for lighting units that will not accept standard battery pack sizes including cove, architectural, surface-mount and NSF vapor proof fixtures.

External Specifications:
The GEN1 has a long, skinny profile and has an unfinished metal case that keeps moisture away from the circuitry. Mounting feet on both ends allow for installation in tight spaces or ballast channels. Input and output lead wires protrude from a single end of the ballast.
