OSHA just rolled through your restaurant and it looks like your back kitchen and scullery areas urgently need emergency lighting. The price of damp-location rated emergency fixtures is pretty steep and to install them you'll have to tear out a whole section of wall tiles. But did you know you can transform your current vapor proof T8 or T12 luminaires into emergency lighting with one simple addition? Its true with the 3000 lumen 1 or 2 bulb emergency ballast.
Developed by the lumiere maestros of Beghelli Inc., LUCE-4 is a UL Listed steel battery pack with patented circuit-switching technology, coupled with a sealed nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery. Just connect it to any normal 120 or 277-volt AC fluorescent ballast and voila! Your kitchen is now fully compliant.
Ballast Type: Emergency
Lamp Wattage: 40-55W
Dual voltage 120/277vAC, 60Hz cycles
Operates: One or two 2 or 8-foot T8 or T12 linear fluorescent tubes
Lumens (at 10-feet): 3000 lm
Min/Max Temp: 32° to 122°F
Optional Auto-Test circuit
Optional UL cold weather and damp location ratings
5-year full warranty
Our LUCE-4 is specially made for 2, 4 or 8-foot linear T8 or T12 fluorescent units between 40-55 watts. This emergency battery unit may be installed in buildings during the build phase or as a retrofit unit. Before installation, check that your current unit is supplied with a conduit or ballast cover, otherwise, these options can be custom ordered.
The LUCE-4 has a standard fluorescent ballast profile with a durable steel housing. The unit has a white baked-on enamel finish that repels corrosion. Input and output leads protrude from one end and the unit includes mounting feet for fixture attachment.
Lamp wattage: 40-55W
Dual tap 120 or 277vAC, 60 Hz
Initial illumination: 3000 (depending on lamp)
Battery: Maintenance-free nickel cadmium. 7-10 year lifespan
Emergency runtime: +90 minutes
Recharge time: 24 hours or less
Auto Test - adds a circuit to the ballast that auto-performs monthly and yearly UL diagnostics on the battery.
Damp Location - adds a sealant to the case that blocks out humidity in particularly damp indoor or outdoor locations.
Cold Weather - adds a battery warmer to the unit that allows the ballast to operate in temperatures as low as 5° F.
Ballast Covers - linear fluorescent ballast channel cover protects the AC and emergency ballast from dust and moisture.
Flex Conduit - flexible electrical conduit protects the input/output leads.
