The TEL-W-RC Series Thermoplastic Emergency Light with Remote Capability provides 90 minutes of emergency illumination and enough power to illuminate up to 2 additional, remotely located emergency lamps. The injection molded thermoplastic housing durable, sturdy, and corrosion resistant. A small button allows for easy testing of the battery backup system's capability. Remote capability allows the unit to remotely power 1 or 2 additional lamp heads, up to a total of 11 watts.

This unit is ideal for situations where only one electrical connection is present and two fixtures are needed or an application where a unit is required inside as well as oudoors; simply use this unit in conjunction with a weatherproof remote lamp head and the problem is solved. The universal mounting plate allows for effortless installation. Operates using 120 or 277v AC power. The standard 5.4W incandescent lamps can be positioned as needed. Damp location rating is standard and the unit is UL 924 Listed and code compliant throughout North America.

Emergency lights ililluminate the exit pathway in case of an emergency power outage. The Remote Capable version takes this a step further by providing either 180 minutes of emergency power, or 90 minutes of power to the emergency light's two lamps and two additional, remotely located lamp heads. The TEL Series is designed for indoor commercial use in all types of applications.

External Specifications
The TEL Series is constructed from sturdy flame and corrosion resistant ABS thermoplastic. Plastic emergency lights are favored for their usability and affordability. This model comes complete with two lamps, a back-plate for mounting, and all installation hardware. The wedge based emergency lamps are fully adjustable. A damp location rating and external battery backup test button are standard on all emergency lights.

Internal Specifications
High output incandescent lamps and a specially designed refractory lens assembly provides glare-free light distribution. Lamp Type: Incandescent - wedge base. Lamp Rating: 6 volts, 5.4 watts. Lamp Life: 100 hours (expected average).

Remote Capability
The remote capable model allows for up to 2 additional 6v remote lamp heads to be connected to the unit. Up to 11 watts of power can be consumed by the remote lamp heads while still maintaining a 90-minute emergency run time. Our 6v 5w standard remote head is the most popular accessory for this model and we also carry weatherproof remote heads as well.

Electrical Specifications
120/277v AC dual-voltage operation is standard. Other voltages available upon request such as 220v and 240v.

Maintenance Profile
Maintenance time and cost is reduced by connecting remote lamp heads because there are less units to test and maintain. The maintenance required for this unit is monthly and yearly testing of the battery backup system per OSHA regulations. The emergency lamps are replaceable if broken or burnt out.

This emergency light is suitable for surface (wall and ceiling) installation. This model is suitable for indoor and damp location installations on normally inflammable surfaces. Use two of three provided wires to connect the unit to AC power. Use the black(120v) and black(Common) wires for 120v AC connections and the red(277v) and black(Common) wires for 277v AC connections.
